Hi!
I'm Rory, and I created Inside Climbing, an independent media publication focused on competition climbing. Here I cover climbing as a sport, not just a pastime.
I discovered climbing during my PhD in Sheffield, UK, at the "old age" of 25. I fell in love with the activity and the community surrounding it. Climbing is "my church": I know wherever I go in the world, if there is a climbing wall, I will find my people.
Now, I want to give back.
With Inside Climbing, I help climbers understand competition climbing.
I cover climbing as a sport inspired by The Escape Collective, FiveThirtyEight (before Disney shut it down), The Defector, Mo News, and Impact.
